FOLIO is a protocol concept for agreements between clients and independent teams. It starts with a practical question: what needs to happen before the next payment is released?
The proposed answer is a shared agreement with defined deliverables, a delivery window, a value for each milestone and an approval process. The long-term goal is to connect those terms to on-chain payment rules. Today, the workspace helps you write and download the first draft.

A project can begin with an email, change in a chat and end with an invoice. When the scope, decisions and payment expectations live in different places, the two sides may remember different agreements.
FOLIO brings the essential terms into one place before work begins. It cannot make a vague deliverable clear by itself. The people doing the work still need to define what completion means.

- The client defines the desired outcome and reviews the proposed scope.
- The contributor agrees to the deliverables and timeline, then submits the work.
- Both sides need a process for revisions, approval and changes before payment rules can be useful.
