07 / COMMON QUESTIONS

A few things worth making clear.

Quick answers about drafts, wallets, USDC, milestones and the current state of FOLIO.

01Can I use FOLIO today?

You can explore the protocol concept and create, review and download an unsigned project draft. Shared agreements, delivery submissions and payments are not live.

02Do I need a wallet?

No. The current draft builder does not connect to a wallet or request a signature. A wallet flow would belong to a future on-chain version.

03Does the USDC amount move money?

No. It is the proposed unit and amount written into your draft. It does not read a balance, reserve funds or trigger a transfer.

04Can I change the milestone percentages?

The current interface uses a fixed 25% / 50% / 25% split. You can change the total value and all three milestone descriptions. Flexible allocations are not implemented.

05Is my draft saved automatically?

No. It stays in the current page state. Download it before refreshing or leaving the workspace if you want to keep a copy. There is no cloud account or shared draft storage.

06Is the downloaded file a signed agreement?

No. It is an unsigned planning draft. The parties still need to establish their identities, complete the terms and decide how to accept them. The site does not assess the legal effect of the document.

07What happens if a delivery is late?

Nothing is enforced by the current site. The delivery window is a planning field. Review periods, late delivery, pauses and cancellation rules remain part of the protocol specification to be developed.

08Who resolves a disagreement?

No FOLIO dispute resolver or arbitration service is active. The mechanism, authority and process for handling disagreements have not been selected.

09Which network does FOLIO use?

No live network has been selected for this FOLIO project. The interface does not connect to a deployed payment contract.

10Does FOLIO charge a protocol fee?

The draft builder does not collect a protocol fee. A live payment fee model has not been implemented.

11Has the protocol been audited?

No completed contract audit is claimed. The current release is a concept interface and draft tool, not a security-reviewed payment protocol.

12Where should I start?

Read The protocol for the overview, then Writing an agreement and Milestones & delivery for a concrete example. When you are ready, return to the workspace and write your own draft.

Start with your own terms.
